This is a first for me.An image which can justifiably appear in three galleries at the same time.The motte sits on top of a Roman milecastle which formed part of Hadrian's Wall,and the the church was built on the motte after it was abandoned.see http://www.castlefacts.info/castledetails/castleDetails3.aspx?uin=10316
