An ever-changing reflection pool at Silver Bay's
cobblestone beach one autumn dawn.
A stream runs alongside this scenic icon of a rock,
and rains, along with wave action,
reshape the water constantly -- sometimes no pool at all.
Here, we arrived in the pre-dawn darkness to position
tripods for a hopeful sunrise reflection,
and this time -- out of many attempts -- we were rewarded.
Sometimes you get unexpectedly lucky,
but a lot of the time
it's about planning and perseverance.
