The Orb

York Minster

The Orb is an elliptical treasure house of stained glass, showcasing five examples at a time of some of world’s most important medieval art. The stained glass is intimately lit to reveal the craftsmanship and epic stories that make up York Minster’s Great East Window. The pieces are displayed after being restored before being placed back in the Great East Window.

That is amazing, superb shot! I've visited York Minster once with a great guide. What a gem among cathedrals! On that time they had stained glass under the restoration and it was interesting to learn about the technique. *V*
