The halo of Centaurus A is gigantic, this is a close up of the main halo but in the wide field
image below the halo extends out some 70,000 lyrs from the core! The perpendicular polar
extensions increase the size of the galaxy to 300 000lyrs across!! This image is also full of
Milky Way dust giving the whole image a milky glow. The halo of Centaurus A is certainly not just
a uniform glow, the many subtle shells of stars discoveed recently in the Halo of Centaurus A are
