Jupiter

Madison, WI

10:00 pm CDT. The moon at left is Io. Just above the planet is Callisto, and on the planet itself is the great red spot and the shadow of another moon, Europa. Europa is transiting the disk and just barely visible at the 2:00 position inside the disk (above the reddish tropical cloud belt).

96 exposures with the Coolpix 4500, 14mm eyepiece and Celestron C8 telescope.

other sizes: small medium original auto
