A 30 second combined (one with equatorial tracking, one without) image to capture both the sky and mountains without the motion blur introduced by the tracking. The foreground and mountains in this shot is illuminated only by the 13 day old moon, which is shining from the south. This image was shot facing nearly due west. I've long dreamed about getting a landscape like this lit by the moon, and wondered if it would be possible to capture stars in the sky as well. It turns out that it is possible, but is quite a technical challenge.
