I like the expressions and mood you have captured. Seems like everyone has been up all night and are struggling to stay awake long enough to eat.

Yeah, it was a tossup, Frank. The image started looking darker (in mood) than I had anticipated so this was my (Beckettian, I hope) essay at injecting a bit of levity.
Thanks for the comments. This one was a real challenge for me because I don't like to intrude on peoples' privacy but at the same time I like in-your-face photography.

Hihhi, would have been glad to take the credit, but for sure jp is the master for this. :-)
Fanstastic catch, though I am not too happy about the sandwich. Nothing against selective coloring in general, but this time it is not my taste. Cheers, Frank

Thanks again, Dale. In this case I made the final choice of framing based on 2 things: the aspect ratio (of the frame) I felt comfortable with & the inclusion/exclusion of key elements I wanted in the pic.

I must add (though this will probably make me some enemies) that I find far too many of the shots in the forum & challenges over-cropped to the point of sacrificing content & context for *rules*.

Another story telling candid I wish I could take. Would like to see some cropping on the left though because it so prominent that it keeps drawing your eye away from the main subject. Dale

Not Frank but that's a compliment.
Thanks anyway.

Frank - you captured a great moment! The expressions are priceless. The idea to let the sandwich colored is brilliant! It leads eyes immediately to it makes it the center of composition- and specially bonus for you for the title which makes the photo many-levels-meaning - great idea.
