Thanks for commenting, Franky! I think we'd rather postpone that highly philosophical discussion about all those extraordinary places turned into ordinary ones by the enormous masses of visiting tourists (to the ones you and I belong too every now and then, of course). Florence--to stay with the example of this image--is arguably not a living city anymore but basically a museum of its own past, as my Florentine relatives regret themselves. -- db.

Daniel, it is a superb shot. I also have encountered situation when I was wanting to break some glas. :-)
One one thing I do disagree. Isn't the fact that so many tourist do a visit indicating that this is an extraordinary place?
