10th Place (Tie)
Colleen's Quilt

by Bill Borne

A Wall hanging Quilt my late wife had made. This is a portion of it.She used sewing machine to stitch all the pieces together and did all the quilting by hand. It was her pride and joy. Unfortunately it needs to be squared up again. On the wall it is definetely 3D. I have been thinking of having it professionally blocked and framed under glass.

great, strong, and vibrant pattern. I like the way it almost feels backlit.

These colours are really attractive. The whole shape, and the inner shapes are eye-catching too... jrdu

Beautiful shot of this quilt - I love the colors, patterns, and the way the squares in the center look like 3D blocks sometimes!

The patience it must take to do work like this! Excellent!

Bill, thanks so much for sharing this beautiful quilt with us. The pattern is gorgeous!!!! I would truly look into having it professionally blocked and put under glass. Lovely image.

Thanks. Lot of work and very time consuming. I have a small maybe 2 foot long oriental dollhouse rug my Mom made onetime using "petipoint". Very very tiny stitches. She told me it took over 500 hours to make. One of these day I have to photo it!
