Helen posited correctly - the Alien Landing Strip is a Tiffany-style lampshade. This is my living room/den, which has the theme of a NY loft...brick, wood, rusts and browns. Here, the lamps can be seen in full perspective. As you can tell, my home is very thematic - Caribbean bedroom, Explorer's lounge, English billiard room/bar, NY loft room, etc.
