Really nice image - I love the soft colors against the white background and the reflections are so clear I didn't think they were reflections!

Otherworldly looking, seemingly suspended as they are. Love the light shining thru as well. Helen

This is really fabulous! What a great image!

Very nicely done - creative solutions for a solid background, and nearly transparent reflections give it a 3-D feel.

Wonderful image! I really like the look and "feel" of this!

Thank you Sue and Dewise! These are kind of special marbles which I had never seen before. The surface is kind of sanded, which gives the soft look.
Finally some more words on the set up: The image is not treated in PP except reszing with a subsquent sharpening! I put a mirror on the sill and placed the marbles on it. The background is actually the grey sky, which is overexposed and thus delivers the nice white. For the marbles it meant that you see them from the top just reflecting the light (especially those which are in the middle). And at the same time (if not hidden) the reflection where the light shines through (also applicable for those on the outer circle).

I love the soft colors of the marbles? and how you can see the light coming through them. Excellent.
