Great capture - it certainly looks like ballerina legs to me, I wish they would have waited for them to leave before they started replacingthe tracks :-)

Wicked piece of equipment, Frank, and nice shot of it. Helen

Amazing. Howie is really into looking at Challenge pics. He is having a great time with this one!!! I still love the "dead ballerinas" ;-))

Thank you all! Denise, Howie is perfectly right I think. The machine was used during the replacement of trails of the city tram. They had to replace a complete crossing between Thursday and Sunday, including all the concrete work! I have not seen this machine in action and basically had been asking myself on the real purpose, thus Howie's comment helps me too. :-)
You can also find a different color crop in the demo now! Cheers, Frank

Man, that looks like a group of dead ballerinas at the bottom, maybe it really is some sort of torturing machine ;) ... whatever it is, it doesn't look friendly and I love how you captured it (would be great to see this at full-size too, with all that detail)!

Wow, this is some machine. You did an amazing job of capturing all this detail. I thought it might be a machine to pulverize asphalt. My husband thinks it is a machine that rides along the railroad tracks mixes up the gravel so that the tracks can be straightened.

This must be modern art? I've never seen such a sinister looking machine. This picture scars me, excellent work.
