(3rd) Running Through The Space-time Continuum *

Just a few word on the photo (please see below for the set up of the clocks - they are real).
The series of 5 were taken by the V3 function. All I did was using the first of the five exposures as a base. Then stacked the others on top of it and cropped out everything but the runner with a quite large smooth border. Only had to adjust a little bit as I had not used a tripod. After merging all layers applied a contrast mask, adjusted the colors and cropped finally. Thus my thanks are to the artist and the runner!

The arrangement of 23 clocks, with the 24th one lying on the ground as mother clock giving the impulses, refers to our daily routine, whose variety undergoes subjective changes according to the individual perception. Every-day items such as station clocks become the conveyors of artistic expressions.
Inscription on a memorial plaque :
'Zeitfeld Alles hat Seine Zeit Ach du Liebezeit'

A very good point about that time lapse, Frank, and typical of the perfectionist in you!
But an awful lot of work to tweak it I'd reckon. OTOH it might be fun to present the result to the park management and give them a fit of the horrors; maybe the effort would be worth it for their reaction. It would serve 'em right for letting clock #2 slip a minute behind!
But since you've got me in analytical mood, you've also tickled my curiosity in trying to locate Zeitmutter on the ground -- an unfair omission since Mothers' Day is upon us -- as well as the 23rd one standing; I'm probably missing the obvious, but I can only spot 22 ;-)
The other odd thing is that the satellite photo seems to show the whole 24 clocks upright, on poles.

Thank you guys! Martin, very good observations. You really are "THE EYE"! Basically the clocks stand there as they are, nothing wrong with it (I have added a few more words on the set up above). Then you are perfectly right with the shadows, but in fact it is only a very thin dark line that would be noticable. I first also thought, man, this guy does not cast shadow on the original image! Must be a vampire or so ... ;-) Well the thing that I was considering for a re-do was actually the time of the clocks. The guy moves on, but the time stands still! Thanks to the slow burst rate it takes 4 seconds from the first to the last image (which I thought would be good to show in the image). Otherwise the guy would going with the speed of light, which would cause significant problems on the exposure time! ;-) Thanks for looking closely. /frank

Great job Frank & neat concept! Problems?... mmm... clock #3 and #4 overlap a bit too much? Runners missing shadows? Background foliage showing in front of the some of the posts? Minor stuff, I wouldn't have even noticed unless you'd mentioned it, the idea counts more! ;)
