I really like this a lot. What works most for me is the conifer-shaped vista at the end, a kind of reverse image, almost Magritte-like. Great details & framing, although I do see Frank's point as an alternate option.

Very cool scene yoou have found. I like the stairs that lead you into the path through the wood. *Personally I would try a closer crop from right and left, to focus more on the center.
