Thanks Katherine - I am always experimenting with different lighting and it makes a change from flash or natural light. Surprisingly, this style of shot is appreciated by females more than males. I suspect it's because it doesn't show naked females as purely sexualised objects.. - Tony

Beautiful image - I love the lighting and shadows!

Hi - it was completely dark in my lounge when I took the shot of my partner here in the UK! The lighting was from a single 40 watt household bulb which I'd flagged to throw the light forward. from in the hallway. I took it as a test shot for my neg film work and have used an KM D7i & A2 for the past three years as polaroid substitutes. The FZ30 is not a bad camera but is a bit noisy.

A nice study in light and form, Tony. Thanks for adding this dimension to the Challenge.

Tony, AWESOME shot and so refreshing to see in this challenge and on this forum. It's edgy and I love it. Check out my "Backlit" in the Exhibition Gallery. In this shot in particular, the light and the shadows are the main character. What time of day? Where are you? And how do you like that camera. Looks very impressive in your hands.
