I just tried a quick b/w conversion by desaturating the image and boosting its contrast. I like the color version better, but I'm not experienced in working with black and white. What's a good workflow for the conversion?

Hmh, difficult to say about the sky. I think I prefer the original version. Have you ever considered a b/w conversion? For me the image lves from the contrast and not the color. Maybe you can enhance this with b/w. Just my 0.02 €.

I thought that the sky in the original version, now posted in the Demo Folder, was a distraction. I replaced that essentially colorless sky with the blue shown here that I borrowed from another shot at the same location. What would you do? I would appreciate your comments.

This is a great image to my eyes. The pattern and DOF are great, as well the tunnel view. My only hesitation is about the sky. MCsaba

I like your interpretation as metaphor. The forces of darkness vs. light.

Great shot. I love how the two sides face each other. Looks like a "cold wood war".

Yes, these really feel like endless piles of wood. A strong sense of being sandwiched between these two stacks. Great use of DOF and I enjoy the opposition of the light side and dark side. tcoen

Now THAT is a lot of wood. I like the depth this picture conveys. Seems like it goes on forever. Very nice.
