Melanie, I really like this abstract form accompanied by its' wonderful shadow. Taken together, the form and shadow remind me of the body of a wet snail with erect, long antennae. I love the lighting here... and the way you composed this. It's very effective in B&W, but I can imagine it working well trying various color gradients also. Good idea, Melanie...very nice photo!
