This image still mesmerizes me as much as the first time I saw it, Nico... I'm glad you didn't take the editing advice from some of the flickr comments, the photo stands on its own, perfect in every respect and definitely a wall-hanger! :)

Thanks :)
I was a bit late to get some lotus flower pics, but that's not that bad since it left me with the opportunity for something different... I guess that's one of the things i learnt recently (after climbing a mountain on a misty weather that was hiding all the landscape i was looking for), it opened my mind somehow :)

... And anyway, i like patience and skill for flowers... It's like bugs and portraits... i keep trying but i can't get anything that has a that little something.

i particularily love that picture because it's the last one i took with my friend (she spotted the lotus) and what i consider one of my best post processing (i mean big alteration in a controled way and with a purpose => high contrast and metallic water for a colder and more sad atmosphere).

This is the opposite of my lotus pics, but the colour and the simplicity of the composition, along with the interesting nature of the dying leaves and their shadows makes it more beautiful. I appreciate it more each time I look at it. jrdu

Nicolas, I love the simple composition and unique quality of the shadow/reflections. The open areas in the leaves makes this really interesting to look at. Lovely lighting and contrast too. Well seen and taken. MFC
