Beautiful image - I love the lighting, colors, and the clarity of the reflection!

Thanks for all the suggestions and comments. Carmen and bottles, thank you for helping me to learn more about Post Processing. I was able to paint out the petals!!! Finally figured out how to do it. But, after I was done, I decided I liked the image better with the petals ;-))) bottles, thanks also for the info on the ICC profile!!!

Wow, I think Carmen did an excellent job of removing the petals on the right. I could not do any better than that! Nice work Carmen! As for any color difference you're seeing I would guess it's probably an ICC profile problem. Your image (Denise's) is tagged "sRGB" and Carmen's image is "Untagged" (probably stripped by the older version of PS). A web browser that is color-managed (such as Safari) won't help in cases like that. I'll email you and explain all that better. Very nice image by the way. Beautiful colors and reflection, I love it!

Hmm. This may be a little more vibrant and subtly pink than the copy...it's hard to tell. It probably does lose something in translation, though I have an archaic version of PS that might have something to do with it. I actually ended up using the airbrush tool set on diffuse spray and something like 11% pressure as it creates less of a flat look and I find it blends the edges away nicely.

Beautiful floer. Love the gradations of purple. Ann

Thanks Carmen. I will work on the image Sunday or Monday. I like how it looks without the petals on the right. I understand how to use the rubber stamp tool but not sure how to paint ;-)) bottles????? Interesting that the color looks different in the demo version. Is that because you were just using a copy?? This is such a great learning experience. Thanks!!!!!!!!

Yes, Carmen, please feel free use the demo folder. MFC

The petals in this case aren't too intrusive and the primary color behind them is fairly uniform, so it should be pretty straightforward to paint them over. I picked up the image just to try it; there is a little bit of pattern in the water down below so I used the rubber stamp tool to clone in a patch of blank water of the same shade. (I could load it to show you, but I'm not sure where...is that what the demo folder is for?)

Beautiful subject here, Denise...and you captured it well. Lovely color contrast and lighting. I agree, removing those few petal pieces on the right would make it even better. I'll have to give it a try at some point...hey, bottles, are you up to the challenge? :) Nice shot, Denise... wonderful reflection. MFC

Thanks Carmen!! Since you noticed the petals on the right and I have already noticed the petals on the right. I should try to remove them. Here is the problem, HOW?? I am not a whiz with Photoshop Elements, so any help anyone wants to give me, go for it!! I tried to get rid of them myself and succeeded in making a mess of the image! LOL

Lovely shot. The petals sticking into the frame on the right from the other lily don't bother me a whole lot, but I suppose you could consider erasing them; I'm not sure what's best - it's just focused so nicely on the single flower that it might be cleaner. Also, nice color - this is a shade that I think makes my 717 a little "uncertain" at times - I think it tries shifting to flourescent white balance. ;^)
