I like this. It's got the grace of rhythms about it. The height and shape intervals are complex, but it's relieved by the simplicity of the material and the strong--even demanding--frontal treatment, and the light abstracting of the shadows. I found it interesting I thought it was standing up. It wasn't until later I realized how you'd shot it. The texture of the writing is well brought out by the lighting, as well. The diagonals provide a good counterthrust to the verticals and horizontal lines. This reminds me a little of one of my favorite still life artists, Giorgio Morandi. Enjoyed. - Ro
