Thanks Katherine...glad you mentioned it! I had uploaded the original from my work computer - it was not a great copy. I decided to resize the original from my home computer, took your advice and darkened just a tad (I think a little less than your demo, but an improvement from the original), and replaced it here. It also suffers much less compression and looks cleaner now. Advice appreciated!
