Hi Tabrizi... thanks for taking the time to explain the shot further. I can see the woman in red dancing now so you've described it quite well. My time in Malaysia was spent mostly in the jungle. I was there as part of the 1993 Malaysia Trans-Peninsula Rally (4WD Camel Safari). Beautiful country and very friendly locals. The twin towers weren't built at that time. Thanks for explaining further.

Hi Simon... Thank you for your interest in the shot. This shot was taken when I was asked to cover a company gathering in conjunction of Eidul Fitri (to celebrate the end of fasting month for Muslims). The person in velvet shirt was the main performer for the day & the lady in red dress was one of the handicapped orphane that was invited to join us for the gathering & she's actually dancing to the tune of the singer.
The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (klccconventioncentre.com) is just a walking distance from KL Twin Tower (klcc.com.my) & Mandarin Oriental Hotel. They have many big ballroom including one giant aquarium called Aquaria (klaquaria.com/maina.html).
The round shape that you see are actually decorations meant for the ballroom on the day.
Hope my explanation won't be too long for you to read... Cheers...

Hi Tabrizi. I think this photo poses more questions than it answers. Are those people juggling the round shapes seen scattered about the place or are they (more likely) hanging? I was in KL in 1993 but don't remember a convention centre being there. Strange subject matter + interesting angle = intriguingly mysterious photo. I'd really be keen to know more about this shot.

Tabrizi, interesting perspective here...it really makes me appreciate the geometric patterning of the ceiling. Who is that couple on stage? The woman's outfit is beautiful. MFC
