Nice composition - I love the blue colors and the view of the people that look so small in the boats!

Thanks. I came over to let you know that I saw your PBase galleries and figured out where it was.

An unproductive day at the office. :-)

Thank you Uncle Horns. It seems many of the 'retired' America's Cup yachts now get to lead a second life at various locations around the world for paying guests. These two boats, which I believe to be Stars & Stripes 1986 (US-55) and Canada's True North 1 (1986), race regularly out of St. Maarten, Dutch Antilles as part of the 12 Metre Challenge. The photo was taken from onboard a cruise ship at the docks at Phillipsburg, St. Maarten - the boats were about 1/2 mile off the entrance to Great Bay.

Beautiful.! You capture the visual synchronicity & gamesmanship of yacht racing beautifully. This picture makes me smile. Period.

I've only seen the big boats like this in Annapolis and Narragansett Bay (when Ted Turner was defending) when I was a much younger. I can't help but imagine that this is in Southern CA, perhaps off the SDYC? Please share where this was taken.

Simple and well composed, Justin. The sailboats seem so harmonious traveling side-by-side like that. Neat how far they tilt with the wind. Looks like a lot of fun! (*) Can't decide if I like this better with or without the horizon in the composition. Nice shot. MFC
