Hi Katherine. This image rocks. It's been calling to me since I first saw the thumbnail and I love the DoF used. Really clever in conjunction with the background choice. Wouldn't have picked this as f/8 if you'd paid me. Simple yet striking. You've got to be happy with the way this turned out. Kudos.
Katherine, your DOF, focal point, and composition all really draw good attention to the two pieces of speckled gum in the foreground. Neat to see the pack's two opened rows blurred in the background. I like the white and green color scheme here too...and the way you present this. I can just about taste that cool, minty flavor :)...good idea & nice photo. MFC
