Icy White Bear*
by Denise

San Francisco Zoo

I haven't done much PP. Just changing the background on this bear took forever. I still didn't like the finished product. So I started messing with filters and this was the result. I was determined to get an entry into this Challenge because it was just that....a real Challenge for me. And one more great learning experience!!!

Thanks Katherine, yup he is breathing...I made sure his nose wasn't covered. Plastic Wrap...is that what is used?? LOL

Thanks to you too, Bottles, the only way you learn, besides taking instruction from people who know more than you ;-)) is to mess around with the tools available.

I see these Challenges as just that...challenges to me personally to learn more about the craft I love. Yes some will and some won't like this image but the important thing is...I do ;-)) That is a big step in the learning process!!!!!!

Thanks for all of your input, help and support!! You and Mike Fitzgerald have taught me more about PP than I could have ever learned on my own.

Denise, I like the results of your playing with the filters! There's just no better way to learn, and improve your post processing abilities, than to experiment and play with the many features of your editing software. Some people will like your results here and others will not, but you're trying to learn....that makes you a winner!

Nice image - I like the white bear on the white background, and I like the filter effect, also! I like the way the fur details can still be seen sharply under the filter processing - I just hope the bear can breathe under all that plastic wrap :-)
