NoisyImage*
by Daniel Bollag

Donostia (San Sebastián), Spain

As I was taking this picture with the help of a tripod anyway,
there was no reason at all for using an iso-setting of 800.

I still do not know why I did that
(I might have forgotten to change the setting after another «shoot»!?).
But I—anyway—still do like this image
of the «Kursaal» designed by the Spanish architect Rafael Moneo.

Daniel, thanks for understanding - you're alright!

Wonderful, bottles: If you and I weren’t a usually harmonious team, that could have been reason for war... ;-) And, no, the lamp post on the image’s right hand side is—in reality— not leaning: it is, as we aviators say, «straight and level»; but I find the perspective distortion attractive in this case, *because* the building is leaning! Anyway: no harm done; no hard feelings. Of course not! — db.

LOL - I was afraid of that! That was the reason I didn't post it to start with :-) It looked like it was leaning in an unusual way; I was wondering how you could have held the camera to make it look that way. So, it's supposed to be that way! Oh my goodness, it's gotta go (I'll remove it). Sorry about that Daniel, guess I'd better be more careful with my playing around. ;-) I have a question... in reality, is the tower on the left actually leaning too?

Oh, my...!! This really is a *big* misunderstanding, bottles: The building *is not* straight at all in reality!! (That’s the charme of it: it leans.) You made an attractive architecture boring... The first time I don’t agree with you at all; sorry! — db.

Daniel, I put this image through "Neat Image" at the same time I did your "ShameUponMe!" image. I didn't post it in the Demo folder at that time because I also had played around with straightening the buildings (which is not always a desirable edit). Anyway, I've decided to at least allow you to see what Neat Image did for the sky in this image. Hope ya don't mind me playing with the image, it was just too hard to resist! Check it out in the Demo folder, here's the link.... http://www.pbase.com/stfchallenge/challenge_121_demo

It’s but a matter of taste. The noise *does* bother *me*. If I took your remark seriously, Katherine, I would have to
come to the conclusion my image is «off topic» ;-) Thanks a lot for commenting! — db.

Nice capture - I love the colors and lighting! The noise isn't bad - I like the way it looks around the light posts, and I really like the painted look of the sky.
