I don't know what this tree is but it's quite fascinating all year round. This is late autumn. I've photographed it often. In summer it has soft feathery pink bracts with tiny red flowers.

Another fine macro, great sharpness and leaf detail nicely offset by the OoF leaves. Composition is nice - soft lines arcing across the screen.

The colours are good too, quite a saturated green offset by contrasting red with some orange and yellow.
