Yes, Helen, this is the actual color of the roof. I did though—postprocessing—increase color-saturation (generally, on the whole picture; not selectively on the roof) to make the difference clearer between the golden top(s) and the monotous grey/brown of the buildings. (BTW: Does anyone know what building this is in the lower right corner of this image?)
