Another cool one you guys. I love the imagery and the drama. Between the two images, there seems to be alot of signs, symbols, and portents going on. I sense a story here... --Melanie

Nancy: This is a compelling image. The storminess /tumult along with the grey skies set the mood. The sinking house symbolizes disaster over which the red breasted bird seems to gloat. Less manaical in tone is the "alter ego" bird. Grounded on the rock, quite congruous in size with its settting, unlike the bird on the house which is disproportionately large and incongruous....such is the way of dreams. I simultaneously find the red breasted bird distracting, unsettling and central.....as though it caused the whole disaster to happen. Quite the stuff of dreams and very thought provoking. Its almost as though the foreground bird keeps the dreamer grounded (this HAS to be a dream) while everything else rages out of control thanks to the red symbol on the roof. John

Thanks Mark. Regarding the the bird, a great deal of thought went into its placement. It's not exactly 'dead center,' but placed in a line with the bird's "alter ego" for the symbolism it offered. --Nancy/Oceans 2
