Ok, we now know the butterfly so I'm going to guess salvia as the flower. It's really how you composed the image that counts and it's simply beautiful.

Beautifully done, Meem. Your soft focus on the edges really enhances the whole. Do you know what kind of butterfly this is? Bev (I have the same one - I think - that I'm trying to identify)

The selective soft focus works real well for this image as it directed my attention to the butterfly and its purple passion. I love the muted colors. Good job, Meem!
