If there were to be a universal sound depicting peace,
I would surely vote for the purr.

Adorable, emotive image. I really like the toning. Melanie

Thanks Deb and you're spot on.

The kitten was a rescue from a feral mother that didn't take care of her well. She had just been bathed, soon to be deflead and spayed. The cat, Pumkie, now lives with us and does critter duty in the yard along with four other spayed or neutered rescues.

Cheers and meow.

Jules, this has to be my favorite of your series. The expressions on the girl and the kitten are priceless. Looks like the kitten may have just had a bath? I also like the toning.---Deb

Thanks Michiel.

In this one I toned by making a duplicate image, and goofed with the hue and saturation on the copy. Then I convert the original to B&W. I then copied the copy to a layer above the original and played with the opacity. After getting the colors in the ball park I mess with the sharpening. Kind of a lot.

Thanks again

Jules, this is a totally charming portrait. Both kitten and girl look completely content. I like your crop and can almost hear/feel the purring. -Michael
