Nice idea, well executed. If I were to make one suggestion (*), it would be to increase the contrast between the lit and shadowed part of the ball just a tad. -Ed Hahn

Phil, good idea here. Really nice lighting and effective contrast with the background's color & DOF. Well composed & a good choice for B&W. The textural details sure tell a fun tale. Nice photo...and well done. (*) I like this "as is". MFC
