The snow makes the scene look almost empty besides the geese, so yes a bare scene like this helps simplify well. I like that one goose on the middle with it's different pose :)
Jolene, I love your collection of geese here...all in repose...and effectively set against the plain, wintry background. It really draws attention to the shape/form of the grouping...and how well a dozen of them appear to encircle the one standing in the center. Nice catch...and good eye for this one. Nice photo! MFC
