Shutter speed was slow! The entry picture was full auto wit flash. The shaky one was apeture priority with no flash and poor lighting so the shutter was 1/6 s. It was inappropriate to lug my big tripod into dinner with our friends (and two four year olds, a one year old and a 5 month old between the two families). But I thought I would try the shot anyway. I actually have a mini tripod on order from my local shop that would have been perfect for this but too late for this challenge.

Larry, what was your shutter speed on the outtake? A tripod might be the answer to your *camera shake* problem. I agree with both you and Jim...the composition of the first pic is much nicer. Hope you can try another one (and enjoy some more of those delicious barbequed chicken wings!Mmmmmm...good!) ~Nee

Larry, you're right, the composition in the out take is definitely more intriguing. This one is sharper, but doesn't draw me in like the other one. Shutter

I liked the idea of this shot and I took several pictures at dinner. The problem is that the quality of this one is good (maybe?) but the "one that got away" was shot from a better angle and had better composition. But look at the camera shake!
