Did someone say Turkey & Mistletoe??
by Denise

"...Everybody knows a turkey & some mistletoe...."
Okay, I couldn't help myself! This guy has been
roosting on our fence for a couple of weeks now.
Today was the first time I was able to get a photo
that wasn't out of the window.

A very timely and fortunate capture, Denise.

Great shot of this turkey, and the mistletoe is a great idea, too - he's certainly prettier than the average turkey!

Thanks, Mike. I have learned from an STF member that he is a Royal Palm Turkey. Here is a link to a website about them.http://www.centralpets.com/animals/birds/domestic_birds/dbd4787.html
He must be an escapee because we live in a very residential area!! The turkey and the mistletoe idea were my son's. He thinks it would be a great card for next Christmas ;-))

Great idea, Denise...very clever and fun! I've never seen a Turkey that color before...I love the B&W patterning of those feathers. Now, if you think I'm going to kiss the face that "just happens" to be sitting under the mistletoe there, well ?!;?/...:) :) Nice shot and well done! MFC
