Hanukkah in Washington

I went to the Ellipse to once again shoot the National Christmas Tree http://www.pbase.com/helenpb/image/107481391, for the third time since we've been back in the States, but the National Hanukkah Menorah was quite impressive and right next to it, the first time I had ever seen it, so I focused on that instead. Not all the candles were lit yet; there were still three waiting.

What draws me to this image is it's likeness to a macro shot. What keeps my attention are the soft lighting and the angle at which it was taken. Great capture, Helen!---deb

Beautiful lights and lighting, Helen. Well composed along the diagonal and nice contrast against the black background. I really like how light reflects off the structure. Nice photo! MFC
