just me
by jrdu

This is a seasonal reality check to let my friends and relatives know what I've become. I'm into self portraits not because I want to show my face, but because I can't get anyone to pose for me. I'm still trying to work out how to shoot portraits with my new camera. Don't expect much progress this millennium.

Very nice portrait, John.
If the "just me" means you're alone this season, that's too bad. At least you have the company of your STF friends ;-)

Excellent self-portrait, John. I especially like the use of B&W.

John, you are a real master of self portraits. This one is excellent! For me not Godfather x, but a Russian nuclear physicist, who is going to win a noble price. ;-)

What a handsome & charismatic guy I befriend with... Really nice one John...

Very nice, John...The high key OOF background really enhances your shot. Nicely cropped/positioned, with good lighting and detail. Well done. MFC

Excellent self-portrait - I like the sharp details and serious expression!

After subsequent looks, I must amend my previous comment.
Not the *same* drama as the other 2. This is more like Godfather 4. ;)
Love it.

Not quite the drama of the other two, but still excellent imo.
I particularly like the Avedon-like show-every-pore & wrinkle.
