Keeping an Eye on Things

Okinawa, Japan

The Okinawans normally skin these fish, blow them up into a ballon-like shape, and fry them. Of course, they also eat the fish itself.

Man, that's creepy. They look like tadpoles! I have the shivers. Definitely a freaky, but good shot....

This one is spooky - effective though! I thought the darker fish was a monkfish for a second. Nice composition in that close up, one tends to focus on one set of eyes, but stepping back, you see the many eyes. Perhaps a bit too powerful for people used to going to a U.S. supermarket for food. :)
