This pic shows the slightly elongated wastegate hole. And shows some of the sidewall reduction to allow better flow.

The elongation and the sidewall reshaping will help the flow get past the flapper on the side that opens more.

I could have made the hole itself larger. But since this is for a daily driver that is not going to be running lots of boost at high RPMs, I chose to not go for supersize.
