The Husband and Wife team crash landed after engine failure 03/12/2011 at the Air Fiesta in Brownsville, Texas
Kyle suffered cuts and burns from trying to get Amanda out of the cockpit and is recovering with physical therapy, but Amanda had 3rd degree burns over 70% of her body along with other serious injuries and passed away on 05/27/2011 at 10:10pm



Their fathers, Jimmy Franklin and Bobby Younkin, were airshow legends who died in a mid-air collision during a performance in 2005
