Flower Fly, Ocyptamus sp. (Syrphidae: Syrphinae)

Tiputini Forest Reserve, Prov. Orellana, Ecuador

Ocyptamus are very diverse in the canopy. This individual is ingesting some honey sprayed on a leaf from a canopy tower.
