Ant-like Scavenger Fly, Meropliosepsis sexsetosa (Sepsidae)

Tiputini Forest Reserve, Prov. Orellana, Ecuador

This is a not-so-dark member of the fly family also called "Black Scavenger Flies". Meropliosepsis contains a single species found from Costa Rica to Brazil.
