Vagaceratops irvinensis skull

Ottawa, Ontario

Discovering a new ceratopsian dinosaur is a rare feat these days, but researchers at the Canadian Museum of Nature did just that (story). Formerly the third species of Chasmosaurus described to date, this species has been placed in its own genus by Sampson et al. (2010).
