Whitewater

I normally really like water shots where the water has been smoothed
out using a long exposure. I took several on this day, and my
post-mortem of the series has me thinking "too much white".

Perhaps the long exposures are best left to water not moving
quite so swiftly or in such a great volume. ;)

PS... I'm gone for a few days to sleep in the dirt!
Have a great weekend! ;)

Nothing wrong with this one, Terri. The white is perfect to contrast with the dark rocks. Hope you get some good shots.

I really like the effect you got with this 1s exposure...the correct exposure time is a matter of trial and error.Maybe 0.5 sec would worked better, may be not
anyway a great composition !

Love it, great movement.

I think it's a great shot!
When I shoot bridal veils of faster moving/harsher waves, I use a dark polarizing filter. It helps tame "whites". But, I personally don't think there's too much white in yours.

Lovely cool scene.

Its definately a challenge to balance the exposure on these water shots, I think you've done a great job and the highlights in the water are very appealing. Vote
