As a decendent of the Jarrell Family, I spent many of summers with my grandmaother, who was born on the plantation, camping out on the 2nd story porch of the 1920 house. The house was built by hand by my great-grandfather and great uncles in 1920. Until then my grandmother and family lived in a 2 room building on the plantation.
