Fall 2004 Steven Noyes

Superstitions : Week 6

Peralta Trail, Superstitions

This Century plant is off the Peralta Trail (in the Superstition Mountains) leading up to Freemont Saddle. From Freemont Sadel, there is a great view of Weaver's Needle. The trail has hundreds of this plant, but I rather liked this one. It is nice that the weather has finally cooled off enough to start doing these once to twice a week hikes with Trixie.

For those interested, this trail is a rather simple hike of about 2 miles one way. There is an altitude gain of about 1300 feet so you will work up a small sweat on this trail. Traffic is light in the early morning and weekdays but gets very busy by 9:00am on weekends.

other sizes: small medium large original auto
