The summer Milky Way

Anza, CA

A portion of the summer Milky Way near the center of our galaxy. In the lower right side of center you can see M8, then above is M20 and M21, M24 to the left and a lot of other objects are visible. This is 3 exposures of 8 minutes each at ISO400 with a modified digital rebel. A 100mm f2.8 Macro lens was used stopped down to f5.6. I would have had a lot more exposures for more detail but clouds were streaming by all evening and only 3 exposures were usable.
