Portion of NGC 6960 - The Veil Nebula

Anza, CA

This is a small portion of the Veil Nebula, NGC 6960, a remnant of a supernova. Taken with a modified digital rebel through a Vixen VC200L at prime focus, no reducer. 7 x 8 min at ISO800 stacked and processed in ImagesPlus. Focus was obtained using a prototype motorized focuser and focused and acquired in DSLRFocus. I really need to use a wider field of view for this object and also to get a whole lot more exposure time, this is sure a dim target.

Modified Digital Rebel,Vixen VC200L, 1800mm f9

other sizes: small medium original auto
