Meet Pauline.
She works at the cafe where I get my coffee, and she's wonderful.
A few days ago she asked me if I would photograph her
because she hasn't seen her family in a long time and she wanted to send them some pictures.
She kept giving me looks like this so finally I suggested she might want to smile.
"I don't smile" she said, "they wouldn't recognize me if I did"
