PROFILE

The assignment that this photo was shot for is
"photograph a profile"
Pretty straightforward so that's what I did.
I played around with some lighting techniques
that I hadn't tried out before.

This assignment is due on the 22nd and my model is
will to sit for me again before then so if you have any
suggestions please speak up.

I have one more view HERE

I really want to thank everyone for the tremendous feedback from yesterday's photo. It was
so helpful to me to hear all the differing opinions and the reasons why you either did
or didn't like something. I very much appreciated the time you took to not just
look at the photos but also to comment.

I've been sitting here comparing this one to 3_5334.jpg which has fuller lighting (as suggested by Herb.) I prefer this one.. the hand adds, and I think the moodier lighting adds to the strength.
Terrific portrait. I like this class you are taking... looks like you are getting some good insights.
Oh, the model. Toss him in the Hudson...too much competition! ;-)

Great portrait, can you lighten up the shadow under his nose just a wee bit.
I am not an expert it's just something that catches my eye.

Um, this would be better than the other one you've got posted somewhere :).
Terrific pose, very introspective-maybe take a little off the left side??? (ie not so much space??) Great light on the face, and fade.
You can give him my phone number :)
